HARTFORD G. DAWSON, PHD
Hartford G. Dawson, PhD, is an author, educator, technology executive, and humanitarian dedicated to helping people transform obstacles into opportunities and purpose into action.
With over three decades in the Information Technology industry and years of experience as an online university professor, Hartford has devoted his career to equipping others with practical principles for leadership, perseverance, innovation, and personal growth. His passion for teaching extends beyond the classroom, inspiring individuals to overcome challenges and pursue lives of purpose and impact.
In 2014, after witnessing the devastating effects of poverty and limited access to healthcare during a humanitarian trip to Ghana, Hartford founded Love Without Walls, a nonprofit organization committed to serving vulnerable children and families. Under his leadership, the organization has provided healthcare, educational support, food assistance, and hope to thousands of people, culminating in the development of the Love Without Walls Children’s Medical & Wellness Center in Suhum, Ghana.
These experiences inspired his book, The Apple and the Stone, which shares many of the principles and lessons that helped transform a vision into a mission that continues to change lives today. Rather than being simply a book about success, it is a reflection on faith, perseverance, leadership, resilience, and overcoming adversity through purpose-driven action.
Whether teaching, speaking, writing, or leading humanitarian initiatives, Hartford’s mission remains the same: to encourage others to use their gifts, overcome obstacles, and create lasting impact in the lives of those around them.
